Why is Senegal such an interesting country?
Are you interested in investing in overseas property investment in Senegal's coastal area not far from Dakar? You could be getting more out of it than you ever dreamed of. What about owning a luxurious holiday mansion, or building your own for a bargain, at the beautiful ocean side of famous retreat village Toubab Dialaw in Senegal, at 50 km distance from the capital of Dakar and 10 km from the new international airport in Diass?
Come and have a look at the 'Petit Cote Nord' of Senegal. A mediterranean like climate, a quiet and calm ocean side environment with cute fishermen villages and friendly, welcoming people with endless smiles on their faces. The real African savanna and bush at an arm's length away, on the other side of the road: a beautiful, still untouched landscape with baobab forests on hills and valley's, always cooled by a fresh ocean breeze. At the same time, only 10 km from Senegal's new international airport 'Blaise Diagne' at Diass and close to the new industrial zones in development.
Senegal is a country with a rapidly expanding economy, and many major economical, industrial and financial 'economy-boosting' projects in cooperation with the USA, Japan, and other European, Asian and Arab countries are going on: a new toll highway from Dakar to Diamniadio (15 km from Toubab Dialaw), an extensive industrial platform at Diamniadio with many US industries and companies coming in (15 km from Toubab Dialaw), and the new international airport Blaise Diagne at Diass with major highways connecting to it.
You can be sure your investment will be extremely profitable, whether you invest small sums (from $15,000 for acres of land for industrial, touristic and agricultural purposes), medium (from about $50,000 for a lot at the beach) or big ($185,000 for an beach side mansion). Real estate prices are rising rapidly but comparatively still low. Senegal is definitely an emerging market, well suited for real estate and overseas property investment. Businessmen from all nations can be seen coming in daily ... There are many good business opportunities and the market is open at your feet.

About the Senegal economy:
Senegal, still listed as one of the world's poorest countries, has started to develop rapidly in the last decade, especially in the region of the capital of Dakar and major cities close to it. This has been stimulated by the Senegalese 'diaspora', the millions of Senegalese emigrants who went off to work in the USA, Canada and Europe and brought back their hard earned money into their own country, investing it in the Senegalese economy.
For another part, the rapid modernization has been stimulated by cooperation of the Senegalese government with other overseas governments, particularly with the USA government. This has caused major advances in economical development in Senegal: better infrastructure, better health care, better education, better government, more employment and more opportunities for businesses and industry.
Last but not least, Senegal is involved in a rapid process of digitalization: in the last five years an infrastructure of ADSL and mobile phone and internet connections has be laid out to reach all of the populated cities and its neighboring rural areas. Many children now receive computer education, even in the most distant rural areas, and 'cybercafés' are everywhere. All organizations, businesses and industries now have their own website and internet connections. Modern phenomena like (offshore) call centers, internet businesses and real estate investment and development companies are now becoming common place in the Dakar area. The construction and T&L sectors are two rapidly growing sectors. Agriculture and livestock modernize rapidly.
About the Senegalese culture:
Senegal is a country with a very tolerant, hospitable culture. Muslims, Christians and other religions like Buddhism, Taoism and Judaism live peacefully together. Senegalese people are very open minded people, very polite, warm and tolerant. The keyword is 'teranga', which means: togetherness, in a very social and enjoyable way. Senegal ('Suñu gal') literally means: 'our boat', indicating that all in Senegal are in the same boat. Therefore, solidarity and sociality are key, whether you're a native, an immigrant or a visitor. You'll soon feel very much at home in Senegal!
